The brief

Athlete driving a sled across the RAI floor

How do you shoot stills and film in the middle of a live Hyrox race?

This was a service production for PUMA United States. The client team was still overseas, so we organised the whole shoot locally, from the crew and the equipment to the talent.

We did the recce at the RAI a few days before the shoot. That way we knew the stations, the light and the routes through the hall, and could prepare all the equipment in advance.

The talent came over from Germany and Belgium, and we arranged everything around them so their days ran smoothly.

On the floor

A real race means high energy, high pressure and music so loud you can barely hear each other.

We kept the whole team working as one, and were the link between the Hyrox organisation, PUMA and the crew. That left Jane Stockdale and Thomas Dylewski free to do what they do best: catch the athletes at their limit.
