The song

A story as haunting and layered as the song.

Directed by Dana Nechushtan and written by Franky Ribbens, the video brought together some of the most creative people in the Netherlands.

A huge flock of birds swirls past a domed church under a dark sky

Igone de Jongh

Former principal dancer, Dutch National Ballet

At the centre is Igone de Jongh. Her presence brings physical strength and elegance to the film and echoes the dreamy, hypnotic feel of the song.

The look

  • Muted colours
  • Strong compositions
  • A slow rhythm

The look is quiet and cinematic, a slow rhythm that pulls you into the world of the song.

Seen from above, dancers in white tutus scattered across a wooden floor
