A golden oldie. What happens when a lamp wakes up the rooster, instead of the other way round?

The idea

A farmer in blue overalls holds his rooster Simon outside the coop

Who wakes up first, the rooster or the lamp?

To launch the Philips Wake-up Light, we produced a playful spot in which technology beats nature at its own game. Directed by André Maat, the lamp switches on with a glow so natural that even the rooster has to rub his eyes.

A light-hearted film that fits Philips: smart technology with a human touch.

On the farm

It took a farm, a rooster called Simon, a control centre full of monitors and a crew that waited through the night for the very first crow.

The film

Our role

We produced the film in the Netherlands, from finding the farm and its rooster to the crew, the kit and the long night before sunrise.
